Full-Time Hifdh with Arabic

Full-Time Hifdh with Arabic is a 12 month program separate for boys and girls.

Students will memorize the entire Quran with course work in Quranic Arabic to ensure memorization with understanding, unlike any other Hifdh program in Chicagoland!

This program is designed for students who are motivated and want to memorize the whole Quran.

MISSION

The Full Time Hifdh Class is a religious education program which through the effort of the students, under the supervision of the teachers, the dedication of the parents, and ultimately through the blessing of Allah (SWT) will facilitate efficient and effective completion of the memorization of the Holy Quran.

We believe that learning the Arabic language is essential for understanding the Qur’an. Therefore, we have introduced teaching the Arabic language in the Full-Time Hifz program on a daily basis. This program produces Hufadhs in two to three years depending on student’s ability and motivation.

OBJECTIVE OF THE PROGRAM

  • To facilitate memorization of the whole Quran with Tajweed (rules of correct recitation)
  • Mastery of Arabic Language
  • To prepare Huffaz who can lead congregational prayers
  • To provide quality Islamic education
  • To preserve the Muslim identity of the student and cultivate in them a love for Islam
  • To provide an enriched and healthy social and educational environment
  • To motivate our students to strive for excellence and reach their full potential
  • To encourage cooperation between the home, school and community

OVERVIEW

  • Memorization of the whole Qur’an (2-4 years) Boys & Girls
  • Required Arabic language with an emphasis on Quranic Arabic
  • Required Tajweed classes
  • Daily, 5 days a week, 12 month of the year
  • Qualified Huffadh, seperate for boys and girls

THREE COMPONENTS OF HIFDH

  • Complete all three components of their daily work
  • Read actively at home for assigned time (2 hours weekday/6 hours weekend)
  • Avoid things that will negatively affect Hifdh
  • Listen/Mark students’ lessons
  • Ensure students complete all three parts of their daily work
  • Keep parents & administration updated about student progress
  • Ensure their child reads at home (2 hours weekday/6 hours weekend).
  • Create a conducive environment/schedule at home for their child’s Hifdh
  • Keep in regular contact with the teacher to measure child’s progress.

THE THREE DAILY ASSIGNMENTS

This is the first and most important assignment of each school day. Students are expected to recite an assigned portion of what they have already memorized in previous Juz (between half to one Juz based on their current status) every weekday.

Without reciting the Ammukta students will NOT be allowed to recite Para-Sabaq or Sabaq.

This is the second assignment of the day. It consists of reciting from the beginning of the current Juz that the student is memorizing up until their new Sabaq. Without reciting the Para-Sabaq students will NOT be allowed to recite Sabaq.

This is the third and final assignment of the day. It consists of the newly memorized lesson after the Para-Sabaq.
As one can see, the correct and timely recitation of Ammukta and Para-Sabaq is the ONLY way the student can consistently progress in Hifdh.
Homework: Without reading 2 hours at home each weekday and a minimum of 3 hours on each day of the week

STUDENT EXPECTATIONS

Students are required to read 2 hours every weekday at home in order to complete their assigned lessons for the next day. Over the weekend/ holiday they are required to read a minimum of 3 hours each day.

After the completion of the attached lesson for each new Juz the student will only be allowed to move to the next Juz after reciting the Juz in its entirety to the teachers satisfaction as well as passing a random spot test of that Juz.

HIFDH GRADUATION

Students should meet the following requirements for graduating as a Hafidh.
 Successful completion of Quranic Arabic class.
 Review of Qur’an before graduation. This could take anywhere between 3-6 months.
 A final recitation of the whole Qur’an in one day
