Shaykh Abdul Nasir Jangda

AbdulNasir Jangda was born in 1979 in Ft. Worth, TX. He was raised in Arlington, TX. At the age of 10 he went to Karachi, Pakistan to memorize the Holy Quran. He excelled in his memorization and committed the entire Quran to memory within 1 year. He then returned home and continued his school education. After graduating from High School, he went back to Karachi to study the Alim Course at Jamia Binoria. He graduated from the rigorous 7 year program in 2002 at the top of his class and with numerous Ijaazaat (Licenses) in various Islamic Sciences. Along with the Alim Course he concurrently completed a B.A. and M.A. in Arabic from Karachi University. He taught Arabic at the University of Texas at Arlington from 2005 to 2007. He has served as an instructor and curriculum advisor to various Islamic schools and Islamic studies programs. He currently serves as a full time Imam in the Dallas area where he teaches regular classes and seminars/workshops. He is the executive chair and founding member of the Qalam Institute, a Quranic studies project in DFW. He is also the founder and chairman of Mansfield Islamic Center. His specialties include Hanafi fiqh, Tafseer, and Arabic language. AbdulNasir joined Bayyinah in 2009 and teaches the 10 day Fundamentals of Classical Arabic course, Arabic grammar follow ups, and his own course which he designed, Meaningful Prayer.

Br. Wadud Hassan
Secondary School (6th-12th grade) and Special Programs Manager

Br. Wadud Hassan is an experienced Education professional with more than 8 years of administrative leadership and close to 5 years of teaching experience in local public & private schools and college including Collin County Community College, IACC Academy, IANT Quranic Academy (IQA) and Good Tree Academy and the School of Creative Science at Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. His educational leadership experience has been in various roles including as an Academic Advisor, an Assistant Principal, and a School Director. Br. Hassan is a Higher Education candidate completing his Masters of Education in Administrative Leadership. He has been a member and/or participant of various professional Educators networks including Harvard Aspiring School Leaders, Association of Supervision and Curriculum Development, and Islamic Schools League of America. From a very young age he has been active in the DFW Muslim community and was a founding member of various local MSAs, Islamic Associations and Schools. He considers the opportunity of guiding and shaping our children to become tomorrow’s leaders and scholars a mere privilege granted by the enabling grace of Allah SWT.
