Sr. Shaheen Madni
Director of Pre-school Program
Besides being a founding member, Sr. Shaheen has been the director of IACC Academy (Plano, TX) for over 7 years. Alhamdullillah, under her dedicated and visionary leadership IACC Academy was blessed to see their enrollment numbers increase from 5 to about 130 Students. Besides her exemplary contribution to the Collin County community, she brings over 20 years of experience in teaching/managing pre-school centers and has a track record for training and building a team of devoted staff members to serve the needs of the community. We are blessed to have her join our team at Furqaan Academy and InshaAllah she will continue to be an asset to our community. She attributes her success in the childcare industry first to Allah (swt) and then to the parents who entrusted her with their children not only in taking care of them, but also to help mold them into young Muslims.
Sr. Noor Anwer
Administrator of Elementary Program
Noor has more than 12 years of Administrative experience from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia during her tenure at the American-based Military Hospital. After she moved to the US she has been volunteering at Bettye Haun Elementary and Andrews Elementary in Plano, TX as an Office Asst. and Library Asst.. She is also a Certified Montessori & Pre-School Teacher and a Licensed Pharmacy Tech. in the state of Texas. From 2006 she has been working at the IACC Academy Elementary School in Plano as a specials teacher for a year while assisting the Principal as a Coordinator. From 2008 to date she is covering duties in the capacity of Elementary School Administrator/Principal at the IACC Academy.
Br. Wadud Hassan
Secondary School (6th-12th grade) and Special Programs Manager
Br. Wadud Hassan is an experienced Education professional with more than 8 years of administrative leadership and close to 5 years of teaching experience in local public & private schools and college including Collin County Community College, IACC Academy, IANT Quranic Academy (IQA) and Good Tree Academy and the School of Creative Science at Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. His educational leadership experience has been in various roles including as an Academic Advisor, an Assistant Principal, and a School Director. Br. Hassan is a Higher Education candidate completing his Masters of Education in Administrative Leadership. He has been a member and/or participant of various professional Educators networks including Harvard Aspiring School Leaders, Association of Supervision and Curriculum Development, and Islamic Schools League of America. From a very young age he has been active in the DFW Muslim community and was a founding member of various local MSAs, Islamic Associations and Schools. He considers the opportunity of guiding and shaping our children to become tomorrow’s leaders and scholars a mere privilege granted by the enabling grace of Allah SWT.
Sr. Farina Zeeshan
Business Operations Manager
Farina oversees the school’s business operations including sales, marketing, business development, human resources, state policy, day-to-day operating processes, and communications with special expertise in computer publishing, layout, and graphics. She coordinates school activities and helps facilitate synergies among students, faculty and parents.
She also represents the School in developing and maintaining relationships with the industry, networking/participating in industry functions and special events. Prior to this position she was an Assistant Director at IACC Academy for the year 2009- 2010.
Farina’s major strengths include:
Systems thinking and strategic planning linked to outcome measurements for maximizing individual, group, and organizational performance.

Elementary School Staff:
Sr. Shireen – A caring teacher with more than 7 years of teaching experience She has 3 years of teaching experience at Brighter Horizon Academy. She is also certified in Pre-Primary/Montessori Certification. Shireen holds a Bachelor of Arts from University of Karachi Pakistan and currently pursuing her continuing education at Collin County Community College. She is highly motivated, energetic and vibrant Kindergarten teacher experienced in planning and carrying out the daily school activities; and the ability of using creative and interesting techniques for making students learn fast, solve problems and understand the concepts of education, particularly in an Islamic environment. She lives in Plano with her husband and two kids.
Sr. Mayawanty holds a Bachelor of Law Degree from University of Indonesia, has been practicing as an Indonesian Lawyer for more than 10 years before deciding to become a teacher. She has been working at IACC Academy Elementary School as 2nd Grade Homeroom Teacher since 2008. She is currently pursuing on her Associate of Arts Degree in Teaching at Colin County Community College majoring in Childhood Development. She is an enthusiastic individual dedicated to providing the best education to children with Islamic values within an Islamic environment. She lives in Plano with her husband and her five year old daughter.
Sr. Amirah has earned Master’s degree in English literature. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Education and holds another Bachelor’s with English as major and Psychology as minor. She is certified from the State Board of Educator Certification as a Generalist in the EC-4 area. Currently she is planning to pursue her Master’s in Education. She also has over 6 years of experience teaching in Islamic schools. She has written and presented her paper ‘Integrating Islam into regular American school curricula of Social Studies and Language Arts ‘for the ISNA Education Forum held at Rosemont, Illinois in 2005 and in Dallas, TX in 2006. Amirah has a passion for teaching, likes reading and traveling, and has a dream of becoming a writer some day.
Sr. Henna has done her teaching certification in Elementary Education (Generalist EC-4) from the University of Texas at Dallas. She also has done her Masters in Economics from Punjab University. Henna has two years of teaching experience as a homeroom teacher at IACC Academy. Before that she substituted in McKinney ISD, and taught 1st grade under the supervision of an experienced teacher at Green Elementary in Allen ISD. Her philosophy for learning is that each child is unique, and has his/her own intelligence potential. She believes that hands-on activities and learner-centered instructions, promote active participation by the students which is very crucial to the learning process. Her goal is to motivate, comfort and appreciate your child and all the talents, and character he or she will bring to her classroom.
Sr. Mervat is an experienced Arabic language and Quran Teacher for kg and 1st grade. She has more than 4 years of experience teaching Quranic Studies at the Plano Masjid and also helps students in memorization of Qur’an. She has Strong communication, and time management skills and has over 5 years of teaching experience,
Sr. Karima – Highly motivated, imaginative, energetic and resourceful with more than three years full time professional experience in teaching in the areas of Arabic for beginners and Quranic studies. She has taught Arabic Language for 2nd grade through 5th grade. Dedicated to providing high quality education by giving special attention to students to develop and improve their learning skills and instill in them the quality of Islam.
She has also taught Physical Education and Art.
Sr. Eymon is a student at UTD, graduating with her bachelor in Sociology and PA by Spring 2011. She has been working with kids for almost 4 years, As a Technology Teacher she has gained good experience working with SRA Techknowledge Program .
Sr. Sophia is an experinced Quran teacher who has been working in the IACC for 6 years. She has also taught Quran in the bilal community center for 12 years. She helps students read and also memorize the Quran with Tajweed. All the students that she has taught has finished reading the Quran in less that 2 years starting from the qaidah. Some of her students have finished the Quran more than 3 times. She really enjoys working with kids and really likes helping out. She can teach in diffrent levels and also adults with Tajweed.
Sr. Farhana joins the FACC team with 3 years of teaching experience in Texas Islamic schools, Texas teacher certification in Math & Science, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of Texas at Austin. She is enthusiastic about getting students excited about learning and discovering the world around them. She and her husband love to spend time with their two children in their Plano home.
